How does it work?
Research shows that 6 sessions of Hypnotherapy can bring an over 90% recovery rate when compared with other therapies. Sometimes only one session may be sufficient as, for instance, in stopping smoking or working with a phobia.
During hypnosis you will be guided into a deeply relaxed state (called trance) – the critical conscious mind is bypassed, accessing your subconscious mind which is highly receptive to receiving positive suggestions, new ideas, and new patterns of behaviour: you are able to let go of past negative thoughts, feelings, patterns of behaviour or insecurities that you may not even be conscious of, which may be rooted in childhood. Your mind becomes responsive and able to accept new approaches and new beliefs.
Individual sessions can address many different areas such as:
- unclear direction in life
- negative thoughts and feelings
- physical conditions and pain management
- emotional issues
- stress management
- weight management
- stop smoking
Please call me today to talk about the area you would like help with.

Frequently asked questions
What is Integrative Hypnotherapy?
Integrative Hypnotherapy draws on a resource of many different therapeutic techniques according to the client’s needs.
Can I be hypnotised?
Yes – being hypnotised is like day-dreaming, which most of us drift in and out of during the day.
Will I be in control?
You are aware and in control during a hypnosis session and can choose to stop and come out of it at any moment.
How long is a session and what takes place?
Most sessions are about 50 minutes long – for stopping smoking the session is about two hours long. We talk at the beginning to clarify what the issue is and what you would like from your session. You will then be taken into a hypnotic state, there is time to discuss your experience at the end.
Will I be ok at the end of it?
You will be fully conscious and aware, ready and able to continue with the rest of your day.
What is NLP?
NLP stands for:
Neuro – the pathways of the brain –how the mind processes information and codes it as memory inside our body. How we store and attach meaning to the input from the outside world and develop our own personal map of this information.
Linguistic – How we internally interpret language, communication, words, symbols, metaphors, sights, sounds and sensations.
Programming – How we organize the above two – Neuro-linguistics – in our mind and body and our ability to achieve our desired outcome.
Each of us has our own internal representation of how we see the world and experience it. With the NLP process we are able to become more conscious and aware of our beliefs and values – what is important to us in our lives. We can then focus on changing beliefs that no longer serve us in a current life situation. NLP empowers us towards positive change.
“It’s never too late to be what you might’ve been.” George Eliot
